General Overview
Mathematics with Calculus
This course is designed for students who have achieved success in NCEA Level 1 mathematics and have shown the ability to generalize their learning by using algebra. By achieving success in this course, students will have the opportunity for take the NCEA Level 3 Calculus course and/or the NCEA Level 3 Statistics course.
Success in Mathematics
Good attendance is a key factor in making progress as each lesson builds on the learning from previous lessons.
Homework is an opportunity to review recent work and to practice new skills, at an achievable level for each student. Its purpose is to help the brain store new learning in its long-term memory. Developing a good long-term memory in Mathematics and Statistics enables us to be successful problem-solvers in the real world.
