By the end of Year 9, most students will have mastered almost all aspects of Mathematics and Statistics at Level Four and will be starting to achieve at Level Five in some of them. Competence in all topics is the way to ensure continued Mathematics and Statistics success. |
Success in Mathematics and Statistics
Good attendance is a key factor in making progress as each lesson builds on the learning from previous lessons.
Homework is an opportunity to review recent work and to practise new skills, at an achievable level for each student. Its purpose is to help the brain store new learning in its long-term memory. Developing a good long-term memory in Mathematics and Statistics enables us to be successful problem-solvers in the real world.
